This cozy beachfront home has amazing views of Lake Michigan.  Both the living room and master suite have direct, unobstructed views of the lake.  Sliding doors connect the living room to a balcony overlooking the beach that is perfect for watching the sunset.  The open floor plan combines the living room and kitchen area. The property has three bedrooms (two with Queen beds and a third with 2 sets of bunk beds) and 2 baths (one shower, one jacuzzi tub).  Cliff Dwelling offers easy access to a beautiful Private Association Beach.  It is located in Union Pier, just minutes from New Buffalo and Lakeside.  This is the top half of a Duplex, and the bottom unit may be occupied occasionally.  (Not handicapped accessible -- a grassy area must be crossed to reach this beachfront home.)  The best deal on the lake in Union Pier...in fact, in all of Harbor Country.   Location, Location, Location.


Address: 15588 Lakeshore Rd, Building "H."  This home is set well back from the road, directly on the beach.  It can be tricky to find for the first time, particularly at night.  Please make sure that you bring, and are comfortable with, the directions below.

Directions

Directions: Take Exit 6 off I-94. Head West (toward the Lake). Travel for a couple of miles, cross the railroad tracks, and then immediately turn right (North) onto Red Arrow Highway (this intersection has a traffic light). Travel less than one mile to Nanene where you will turn left. (Nanene is easy to miss -- it is the second street on your left immediately after the Red Arrow Roadhouse and the Whistle Stop Cafe.) Follow Nanene until it ends. Turn left (onto Lakeshore Rd) but then make an immediate right turn into the parking lot for 15588 Lakeshore Rd. (Nanene ends right at 15588 Lakeshore Rd. That address has 7 white cottages in a row, and then the Cliff Dwelling -- a brown, wood-sided cottage at the very end of the row, closest to the beach.) Park in the lot on Lakeshore Road bearing the address "15588." (The parking lot is located on the West/Lake side of the road, between Isobel St. and Nanene St.) To get to Cliff Dwelling from the parking lot: Walk out of the parking lot and follow Lakeshore Road for 50 feet or so to the brick entryway with a large chainlink gate on the left/West side of the road. Turn left through the brick entryway and the large, chainlink gate and walk toward the Lake along the grassy way, following the split rail fence (stay on the right/North side of the fence) all the way down to the brown, wood-sided building where the fence ends. Cliff Dwelling is this last, wood-sided cottage, at the end of the row, closest to the beach. This is the top floor of a Duplex. Welcome & enjoy!
