Yellow Bird Vacations COVID-19 Travel Updates

Updated 06.02.2020

Yellow Bird Vacations is NOT accepting short term rental reservations for the month of June per the executive stay-at-home orders issued by Governer Gretchen Whitmer.

The Safe Start Plan distributed by the State of Michigan, places travel within Stage 5 of the six-stage reopening process. Accordingly, we will not be accepting short term rental reservations for the months of June 2020. Please see the link below for a breakdown of businesses in Michigan that are or are not permitted to operate.

At Yellow Bird Vacations, we understand the stress that the ongoing COVID-19 situation is putting on families and even more so the manner in which it affects travel plans. To do our part to slow down the spread of the virus as well as ease some of the financial stress associated with varying work and childcare changes, we will be waiving all cancellation fees and offering full refunds for reservations through June 12, 2020.

In all other procedures, we are proceeding as recommended by the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) and in line with the current procedures being implemented by Airbnb, VRBO, and Homeaway.

We appreciate your patience with our staff as we endure higher than normal call volumes and manage our company from our home offices. We encourage current and future Yellow Bird guests to take the current situation seriously, practice safe and limited social interaction, and engage in conscious sanitization techniques and procedures.
